FAQs

Can we get an Italian coach?

Yes, an Italian coach can definitely be arranged. The number of days and hours of coaching will depend on your preferences and availability. These coaches are highly experienced and have many years of expertise in water polo at a high level. Please note that this is an additional cost, and I’ll be happy to provide more details once we finalize the specifics. Let me know if you’d like to discuss this further!

The travel dates are fully customizable! You can decide when you want to come, and we’ll work together to plan the best period based on your availability and the clubs’ schedules. Let me know your preferred dates, and I’ll help coordinate all the details.

There is a base number of 18 people included in the package, which includes athletes, coaches, and parents. There is no maximum limit, so larger groups are welcome! Since this trip is fully customizable, if you have fewer than 18 participants, we can adjust the package to fit your group’s needs. Let me know your group size, and we’ll work out the best solution!

The amount of spending money your athlete will need depends on their personal preferences and habits. Since meals, transportation, and excursions are already included in the package, they will mainly need money for:

  • Snacks & Drinks – €5-€10 per day
  • Souvenirs & Shopping – €50-€100 (or more, depending on preferences)
  • Extra Activities (Optional) – €20-€50 for any additional excursions or entertainment
  • Emergency Funds – It’s always a good idea to have an extra €50-€100 for unexpected expenses

A reasonable estimate would be €150-€300 for the entire trip, depending on how much they plan to spend on personal items.

Here are some important things to know before the trip:

  • Breakfast: It’s typically in the Italian style, which may be lighter than the American version. Expect pastries, coffee, and perhaps some fruit.
  • Air Conditioning: Not all accommodations have air conditioning, so be prepared for warmer temperatures in some places.
  • Ice: Ice is not commonly served with drinks, so if you prefer it, you may need to ask specifically.
  • Medical Emergencies: The nearest hospital is about 20 minutes away from our location, so please ensure you have any necessary health documentation with you.
  • Currency: The local currency is the Euro (€), and credit cards are widely accepted, but it’s always a good idea to carry some cash for smaller purchases.
  • Power Adapters: Italy uses a different plug type (Type F) and operates on a 220V supply. Be sure to bring an adapter if your devices have a different plug type.
  • Time Zone: Italy operates on Central European Time (CET), which is UTC +1, and during daylight savings, Central European Summer Time (CEST), which is UTC +2.
  • Language: While many people speak English, especially in tourist areas, it’s helpful to know a few basic Italian phrases like “Ciao” (Hello), “Grazie” (Thank you), and “Per favore” (Please).
  • Personal Medications: Italy has different brands and availability of medications, so if you rely on specific prescriptions, bring them with you.
  • Travel Insurance: It’s a good idea to have travel insurance that covers health, cancellations, and any unexpected issues during your trip.
